The Client

At a Glance
Through Safety Culture has implemented Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud with the support of Cloudwerx to streamline its operations and enhance transparency and visibility of internal and external processes.

About Safety Culture
SafetyCulture is a ‘tech unicorn’ providing safety checklists to the construction industry worldwide. Its flagship app, iAuditor, simplifies the auditing process for better safety and quality assurance. Founded in 2004, SafetyCulture has seen significant growth and aims to make workplaces safer globally.

Challenge

SafetyCulture’s app experienced significant growth, which presented new opportunities and challenges. As the popularity of the app increased, the team grew significantly, and it became necessary to ensure everyone was on the same page.

Although the existing processes had served the organisation well in the early days, they were no longer efficient enough to support the current growth trajectory.

To maintain the pace of growth, the team realised the need to update its operational processes and systems. They identified areas of inconsistency, such as poor user experience, complex sales processes, and data visibility issues, which were causing bottlenecks in team productivity and order processes. The team saw this as an opportunity to streamline their operations and improve their workflow. The decision was made to automate their systems and processes quickly, providing a more seamless experience for everyone involved.

Solution

To tackle the internal process and challenge issues caused by SafetyCulture’s rapid growth, an integration and automation team was brought in to curate and automate the system, with clarity and consistency as the primary objectives.

Establishing Salesforce as the “Source of Truth”:
The integration and automation team established Salesforce as the “source of truth” for data, products, sales, contracts, approvals, and catalogues. This enabled the creation of a clear and efficient process that enhanced day-to-day operations both internally and externally.

Salesforce CPQ Implementation:
The team implemented Salesforce CPQ, providing a single location for orders, quotes, contracts, catalogues, and subscriptions. The platform also offered discount schedules for high volume products to prevent discrepancies in pricing.

Salesforce Advanced Approvals:
Salesforce Advanced Approvals were introduced to upgrade the approval process, ensuring accountability and visibility when required, and ensuring sales went through an approval matrix. The Approval Chains integration was added to allow reps to send requests to a series of approvers in one sequence.

Improved Transparency and Visibility:
The integration and automation team’s improvements eliminated back-and-forth activity, providing full transparency and visibility in real-time and in one location.

Overall, these changes significantly improved SafetyCulture’s processes and operations, allowing them to focus on continued growth and success.

Results

The successful implementation of Salesforce’s integrations and processes has enabled SafetyCulture to achieve consistency in its internal structure. The platform now serves as the sole entity for generating sales, creating contracts, and seeking approvals, providing complete transparency and visibility of internal and external business processes.

By operating all systems and processes under one banner, SafetyCulture has reduced internal bottlenecks and is poised to continue growing its already extensive customer base.
